CADSEAL

What is Cadseal?

Cadseal is a specialized sealing solution used in the preparation of a deceased individual for international repatriation, particularly when transport involves air travel. It serves as a modern, practical alternative to traditional zinc linings, which are often required by certain countries for hygienic containment during transit.

Once embalming is complete, Cadseal is applied to hermetically seal the body, preventing the escape of fluids or gases. This ensures:

  • Hygienic containment

  • Odor prevention

  • Compliance with international health and transportation regulations

Cadseal is especially valuable in situations where refrigeration is not available or possible, including:

  • Infectious disease cases, where additional containment is critical

  • Long-term holding, when a deceased person must be preserved for several weeks before burial or repatriation

By removing the need for a zinc-lined coffin, Cadseal reduces both weight and cost, offering a safe, respectful, and regulation-compliant solution for funeral professionals and families alike.

Benefits

Prevents Leakage: Seals in the deceased to prevent any fluid or gas from escaping.

Improves Hygiene: Minimizes risk of exposure of biohazards for funeral staff and the general public.

Controls Odor: Helps contain decomposition odors, maintaining a respectful environment.

✈Suitable for Repatriation: Allows for safe international transport without requiring a zinc-lined coffin, reducing cost and weight.

Supports Delayed Burial: Aids in preserving the body for longer periods when burial or cremation is delayed.

Cost-Effective: Avoids the need for additional containment methods like zinc or heavy-duty liners.

Regulatory Compliance: Helps meet health and safety requirements for funeral practices and international transport.
