Hygiene Sealing
Originally developed during the Ebola crisis, CadSeal is a trusted and effective body containment system that creates an airtight seal, significantly reducing risk to staff handling infected remains.
Unlike traditional methods, CadSeal foil is cremation-safe, allowing for infected individuals to be safely placed in a coffin and honoured with a funeral, without posing a risk to funeral staff or the public.
It also prevents the escape of odours, making it especially useful for decomposed bodies or in emergency situations where refrigeration is not available.
Repatriation
Traditionally, repatriation involved using zinc-lined coffins, which are costly and significantly heavier, leading to increased freight charges.
CadSeal repatriation foil offers a lightweight alternative, weighing just 840g—at least 18kg lighter than zinc.
This innovative method is fully approved and recognised in the IATA Airport Handling Manual, AHM 333 (January 2011), making it a reliable and efficient solution for international transport of the deceased.
